EE 6563 Microprocessors in Digital Design

(3 hours)
Major microprocessor families, emphasizing architectural developments of the processor family, the microcomputer system consisting of the microprocessor and its support chips, and application of the minimal or near minimal microprocessor systems to realistic engineering as opposed to stand alone computer facility. Both single chip complete systems and large word length multichip systems are discussed. Prerequisites: EE 2163 and either EE 2063 or CS 2033.
