Technical Electives (15 hours)
Selected with the approval of the advisor. Any course in the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences can be taken; however, advanced courses in geosciences, chemistry, petroleum engineering, chemical engineering or mathematics are generally encouraged.

Students must complete each of the required major courses listed under the curriculum with at least a grade of “C” and an overall G.P.A. of at least 2.0 in order to receive a degree in geosciences. Major courses are all those listed under the heading of Geosciences Professional Courses.
Foundation courses in geosciences include MATH 2014 , CHEM 1013 , CHEM 1011 , GEOL 1014 , and PHYS 2053 . Refer to the table for specific GPA requirements.
