Sciences, Mathematics, or Engineering Electives (18 hours)
Petroleum engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, or statistics. Selected with the approval of the student’s advisor.

Students must complete each of the required major courses listed under the curriculum with at least a grade of “C” and an overall G.P.A. of at least 2.0 in order to receive a degree in geosciences. Major courses are all geology, geography, and geophysics courses.
Foundation courses in geosciences include MATH 2014 , CHEM 1013 , CHEM 1011 , GEOL 1014 , and PHYS 2053 . Refer to the table for specific GPA requirements.
