SOC 3083 Urban Sociology

(3 hours) HCGD

Sociological theories and research dealing with human behavior in urban environments, including the process of urbanization, implications of urbanization for social relationships, the ecological and social-psychological features of urban life, group conflicts in cities, and major issues in the future of cities. Prerequisite: an introductory course in one of the social sciences or permission of instructor.
