- ENGL 1033 Exposition and Argumentation
- ENGL 3003 Writing for the Professions **
- Humanities and Social Sciences Electives (18 hours). Selections limited to courses that qualify as humanities or social science electives as defined by ABET/AIChE accreditation criteria and the Tulsa curriculum. These courses must demonstrate depth of study in at least one area rather than be simply a series of introductory courses.
Total: 131 hours
*These courses must form a cohesive area of specialization, must be approved by the advisor, and must meet ABET accreditation criteria.

For calculating grade point averages, major courses shall be: ES 3003 , ES 3053 , and ES 3073 , and all chemical engineering courses. A chemical engineering student must earn a grade point average of 2.0 or higher in the major and overall in order to receive a degree in chemical engineering. Foundation courses in chemical engineering include MATH 2014 , MATH 2024 , CHEM 1013 , CHEM 1023 , and PHYS 2053 . Refer to the table for specific GPA requirements .
