The Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science (B.S.E.S.S.) degree requires successful completion of 125 hours of coursework as detailed below:

Tulsa Curriculum
Every undergraduate must fulfill the requirements of the Tulsa curriculum, which has two parts: the core curriculum and the general curriculum.
Block I Electives (6 hours)
Block II Electives (12 hours)
Block III Electives (8 hours)
Major Core (26 hours)
Major core courses must be completed with a grade of C or higher.
Pre-professional Emphasis (59 hours)
Courses in the pre-professional track cover many general prerequisites; however, students must be advised that the prerequisite requirements for programs of advanced professional study in allied health care may differ from program to program. For this reason, students must remain cognizant of specific admission prerequisites for their program of choice.
Courses with ATRG prefix must be completed with a grade of C or higher.
Total: 125 hours
*Some students will be required to enroll in ENGL 1004 prior to ENGL 1033 .
**BIOL 2153 , BIOL 2151 , BIOL 2173 , and BIOL 2171 must be completed with a grade of C or higher.
***Students must complete nine hours of internship/clinical coursework. This degree requirement is designed to allow the student to gain clinical experience in a specific, targeted setting. Students completing clinical courses must meet all standards and guidelines established by the School of Nursing for clinical students.
