The University of Tulsa is not accepting applications or matriculating new undergraduate students into the bachelor’s program in information technology beyond the Fall 2019 term. Students who have matriculated into the bachelor’s program may not declare information technology as a major after the Spring 2020 term.

Computer Science (42 hours)
Math/Statistics (10-11 hours)
STEM/Business Electives (9 hours)
One of the following sets of electives:
Humanities and Social Sciences Electives (25 hours)
- Six hours of Tulsa Curriculum Block I electives
- Twelve hours of Tulsa Curriculum Block II electives including ECON 2013 and ECON 2023
- Seven hours of Tulsa Curriculum Block III electives which may include PHYS 2051 , PHYS 2053 and PHYS 2063
Information Technology Option (12-15 hours)
Information Technology Options
Students seeking the Bachelors of Science in Information Technology degree must complete one of the following degree options:
General Option (12 hours)
- CS 3073 Introduction to Cyber Security
- Nine hours of CS electives at the 3000-level or above selected with approval of advisor. Up to 3 hours of CIS coursework at the 4000-level may be substituted.
Cyber Security Option (15 hours)

*Some students will complete a modified series of courses. See Special Requirements .
To become a candidate for a degree in information technology, a student must complete all computer science courses in the curriculum with a grade-point average of at least 2.0, and earn a grade point average of 2.0 or higher overall.
