Return to Department of Theatre .
The University of Tulsa is not accepting applications or matriculating new undergraduate students into the bachelor’s program in musical theatre beyond the Fall 2019 term. Students who have matriculated into the bachelor’s program may not declare musical theatre as a major after the Spring 2020 term.
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with a major in musical theatre is intended for the student who has strong ability in music and theatre. The program allows the student to take advantage of wide-ranging liberal arts studies while focusing on an interdisciplinary emphasis in both music and theatre. Students who choose this major will not need a minor area of study since the degree offers two distinct areas of concentration. Musical theatre majors are also required to audition and participate in production work by enrolling in THEA 1220 for seven semesters.
