The University of Tulsa is not accepting applications or matriculating new undergraduate students into the bachelor’s program in music composition beyond the Fall 2019 term. Students who have matriculated into the bachelor’s program may not declare music composition as a major after the Spring 2020 term.

Tulsa Curriculum Requirements (47 hours)
Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Music curriculum are not required to have a minor. They must complete the requirements of the Tulsa curriculum as follows:
Core Requirements (22 hours)
Block I Aesthetic Inquiry and Creative Experience (6 hours)
Block II Historical and Social Interpretation (12 hours)
Block III Scientific Investigation (7 hours)
- Block III elective (3 hours)
- Block III elective with lab (4 hours)
Required Music Courses (81 hours)
Note:
*B.M. composition students are required to enroll in MUS 4100 Composition Seminar every semester beginning with the first semester of their freshman year.
