****No more than two courses from any one discipline may be used to fulfill General Curriculum requirements. Two courses must be taken which meet the Cultural Diversity and Gender Studies requirement.
Students complete a total of 31 credit hours for the major. This includes 13 hours of core requirements, 12 hours of electives, 3 hours of research methods, and 3 hours of theory.
Anthropology Core (13 hours)
Any course within this group may satisfy general curriculum requirements or major subject requirements in anthropology, but not both.
Anthropology majors take ANTH 4973 as their Tulsa Curriculum senior project requirement.
Required Minor (12 hours)
At least 12 credit hours must be completed in a related field with 6 hours at the 3000-level or higher. Students may choose to do a certificate program instead of a minor.

Students seeking secondary teacher certification in anthropology should consult their academic advisors to determine subject area courses that are appropriate and the Oklahoma State Department of Education regarding alternative certification.
