Mission

The mission of the mechanical engineering graduate program is to provide students with the core competency in their sub-discipline of study, advanced knowledge across several areas of mechanical engineering, and the ability to perform scientific research. We provide the facilities, equipment, and mentoring for students to produce their own unique contributions to their fields of specialization. Upon completion of the program, students should be able to apply engineering tools in creative ways to a broad range of unsolved problems.
