CHIN 3903 Topics in Chinese Literature and Culture
(3 hours)
Exploration of shorter original Chinese texts that exemplify linguistic complexity, intellectual stimuli, and cultural characteristics. Readings drawn from modern poetry and prose, contemporary novel, and short story. Approaches include translation strategies, criticism, and comparative examinations. May be repeated for credit with different topics. Prerequisite: CHIN 2013 or permission of instructor.
