AHS 2223 Microbiology for Health Professionals


(3 hours)
Introductory course in microbiology, including microorganism characteristics, growth requirements, and methods of transfer. Emphasis on the effect of microorganisms on health of individuals and the principles underlying immunity. Prerequisite: CHEM 1004  or both CHEM 1013  and CHEM 1011 ; or both BIOL 2153  and BIOL 2173  or equivalent; or permission of instructor.
