PHYS 2073 General Physics III


(3 hours)


A third calculus-based course in Physics: Rotation, Angular oscillations, Optics, Gravitation, and Thermodynamics. Topics include light as an electromagnetic wave, geometrical optics, lenses and mirrors, physical optics, interference and diffraction, optical instruments, gravitation, fluids, temperature scales and heat, and the laws of thermodynamics.

Prerequisite: PHYS 2063 . Must be completed prior to taking this course.

Corequisite: MATH 3073 . Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course.
