Civil Procedure is a two-semester course, which covers the litigation process from the filing of the action through appeal. The major topics addressed include pleading, discovery, summary judgment, trial, post-trial motions, service of process, personal and subject matter jurisdiction, venue, joinder of claims and parties, and claim and issue preclusion.
