LAW - 5972-BR Seminar: Civil Rights & Legislation

(2 hours)
Comprehensive examination of civil rights statutes enacted for the protection of individual liberties.  The course examines both federal statutes designed to discourage private discrimination such as 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981 and 1982 and those designed to prevent governmental discrimination such as 42 U.S.C. § 1983
