LAW - 5103 Professional Responsibility(3 hours)
This course focuses on the role of lawyers and their relationship to society, the Bar, the courts, and government. Topics include the treatment of practical, professional, and ethical problems for the lawyer in private, corporate, or public service practice, the disciplinary function of courts and bar associations, and the Rules of Professional Conduct. A special emphasis is placed on the nature of the profession, the attorney-client relationship, conflicts of interest, unauthorized practice, prosecution and defense of cases, and courtroom demeanor.
