ARTH 4333 A Magnificent Art: The Court 1400-1750 (3 hours) HCGD Investigates the ways in which art was used by rulers and courtiers to create and maintain political, social and personal identities. Examines individual courts throughout Europe and address themes such as magnificence, collecting, humanism, and the roles of women and artists at court. Prerequisite: ARTH 2203 , ARTH 2223 , WS 2013 or permission of instructor. Same as WS 4333 .
