MATH 1083 Contemporary Mathematics (3 hours) Contemporary topics are addressed through a mathematical approach. Quantitative topics from fields such as applied mathematics, discrete mathematics, and statistics are applied to areas such as social choice, management science, finances, information science, and art. Prerequisites: Three years of high school mathematics and a passing score on the ACT or the University mathematics placement examination.
