MGT 3003 Principles of Management


(3 hours)
Survey of principles, philosophy, problems, and techniques of planning, directing, controlling, motivating, staffing, and other management functions as applied to organizations. Examines human behavior with emphasis on problems of motivation, leadership, authority relations and their interactions with structure to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in organizations. Prerequisites: Junior standing; ENGL 1033 , ACCT 2113  and ACCT 2123 , ECON 2013  and ECON 2023 , MATH 1093  and MATH 1103 , BL 2013 , and QM 2013  and QM 2023  with grades of C or higher; BUS 1001 BUS 2001 , and CIS 1001  with grades of P.
