Sustainable Energy and Resources Law (SERL) Certificate

The Sustainable Energy and Resources Law (SERL) Certificate is awarded to students who meet the requirements of a total of 15-18 hours of required and elective courses. Courses taught every other year are marked with an asterisk to the right of the course title.

The requirements are threefold:

I. Administrative Law (3 hours)

II. Four courses from the following, one from each block

BLOCK B - Natural Resources Law

LAW - 6062 Land Use Controls (2 hours)
LAW - 5523 Native American Natural Resources Law (3 hours)
LAW - 5763 Natural Resources & Environmental Law on Federal Lands (3 hours)
LAW - 5543 Water Law (3 hours)

BLOCK C - Environmental Law

LAW - 6073 Climate Change (3 hours) *
LAW - 5972-ML Seminar: Contemporary Topics in Environmental Law & Public Health (2 hours) *
LAW - 5443 Environmental Law (3 hours)
LAW - 5723 International Environmental Law (3 hours)

III. Advanced Study (2 or more hours)
