The Master of Science in Mathematics and Science Education (M.S.M.S.E.) is a collaboration between the School of Urban Education and the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences. This program provides a solid background in mathematics and science principals for application within formal and/or informal classroom settings. The MSMSE program is designed for certified and practicing teachers and others with degrees or work experience in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) who wish to enhance their subject matter knowledge and skills in science and math disciplines. It includes a core of research courses, professional education courses and electives in math and science. The M.S.M.S.E. students are required to complete a final research or capstone project on a STEM topic.
