Law Minor
|
|
The undergraduate minor in Law at The University of Tulsa College of Law has the general aim of making the law a centerpiece for interdisciplinary inquiry into the diverse ways in which cultures-notably, but not exclusively, American society-have sought to achieve order and justice through appeals to recognized authority. The law provides a way to think through a different intellectual lens about the evolution of society and the problems that threaten society.
The minor in Law requires a total of 12 hours of coursework. At least 6 hours must be at the 3000 level or above.
Some upper-level courses in the minor integrate undergraduates into regular J.D. offerings; others are undergraduate courses.
Any course with a LAWU prefix will count towards the minor. Representative courses which have been offered recently include:
Other law-adjacent courses which may be taken to fulfill the minor include:
Note: Specific courses will vary from year to year. Upon application, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Law, acting as advisor for the minor may permit additional courses to count toward the minor on a case-by-case basis.
