The STEM Education minor is tailored for both education majors within the college of Arts and Sciences and for majors within other colleges. This minor supports education students and students who want more experiences, pedagogy and content that is related to integrated STEM teaching and learning in formal and informal settings.
Students must complete 12 hours of required courses with at least a 2.0 grade point average. Six of the hours must be at the 3000 level or above. Student major determines course choices in part.
For those students who are interested, an additional 3 hours of independent study in STEM education research can be added, pending topic and faculty availability.
Deviations must be approved by STEM Education Minor participating faculty member, Helen Douglass.
