Learning Outcomes
Students who complete the undergraduate program in anthropology will demonstrate or perform:
- Anthropological comprehension of theories, human cultures, and social groups;
- Anthropological analysis and interpretation of theories, human cultures, and social groups;
- Anthropological understanding and implementation of ethical principles; and
- Anthropological understanding and implementation of research capabilities.

- Block I Aesthetic Inquiry and Creative Experience (6 hours)
- Block II Historical and Social Interpretation (12 hours)
- Block III Scientific Investigation (7 hours including one lab)
Anthropology Major Requirements (30 hours)
Anthropology Core (6 hours)
Electives (15 hours)
Students select 15 hours of anthropology electives. Twelve hours must be at the 3000 or 4000 level.

The following Sociology classes should be considered as possible electives in Anthropology.
Research Methods (3 hours)
Senior Project
Anthropology majors take ANTH 4973 to fulfill their Tulsa Curriculum senior project requirement. Students in Anthropology may take SOC 4973 senior seminar in lieu of ANTH 4973 Senior Seminar in Anthropology.
Required Minor (12 hours)
At least 12 credit hours must be completed in a related field with 6 hours at the 3000 level or higher. Some minors require more than 12 hours.
