Learning Outcomes

Provides students with a foundational understanding and mastery of the mathematical and scientific principles and techniques associated with data-centric inquiry.
Instills theoretical aspects of data science reinforced with experiential learning steeping students in key processes of data curation and modeling, statistical analysis, and visualization.
Following graduation, graduates will address growing regional and national workforce needs for employees with data science and data analytics skillsets.

To become a candidate for a degree data science, a student must complete all computer science and data science courses in the curriculum with a grade point average of at least 2.0, and earn a grade point average of 2.0 or higher overall.
