General Electives (3-15 hours)
Students who pursue the geology option complete 12 credit hours of general electives.
Students who pursue the environmental science option complete 15 credit hours of general electives.
Students who pursue the petroleum engineering option complete three credit hours of general electives.
Students who pursue the geophysics option complete nine credit hours of general electives.
Notes:
In order to receive a degree in geosciences, students must complete all geology, geography and physics courses with a grade of C or higher and must earn an overall G.P.A. of at least 2.0.
Foundation courses in geosciences are MATH 2014 , CHEM 1013 , CHEM 1011 , GEOL 1014 , and PHYS 2053 . In order to receive a degree in geosciences, students must complete all foundation courses with a G.P.A. of at least 2.5. Geosciences students must complete all foundation courses within three semesters.
GEOL 4016 must be taken at another university.
