Cyber Security, M.S. (Accelerated Master’s)

Return to the Tandy School of Computer Science

The Tandy School of Computer Science  offers an accelerated master’s degree program in cyber security.  The graduate requirements for this option are identical to those for the current Master of Science (M.S.) in Cyber Security, either the thesis  or the non-thesis  track. Up to three courses at the 5000 level may be taken and applied to both the bachelor’s and master’s degree requirements.

Suitably qualified undergraduate students at The University of Tulsa may apply for admission to the accelerated master’s degree program prior to senior year. Current admission requirements stipulate that undergraduates must have taken CS 1043, CS 2003, CS 2123, CS 3053, and CS 3013/MATH 3013 prior to applying. In addition to cyber security majors, there are additional majors and minors that qualify for consideration towards the program. Eligible minors include information technology, cyber security, and computer science. Students majoring in applied mathematics with the computer science option may also be considered for the program.

Students interested in the accelerated master’s degree program should seek enrollment advice from the graduate advisor for cyber security. Students who are admitted to the accelerated master’s degree program will have the graduate advisor for cyber security assigned as their advisor for both the undergraduate and graduate portions of their accelerated degree curriculum.
