Accountancy, M.Acc. (Accelerated Master’s)

Return to The Collins College of Business .

This program allows exceptional TU undergraduate accounting majors to begin earning hours towards a Master of Accountancy (M. Acc.)  while completing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.).  Completion of both the undergraduate and graduate degree requirements is possible within five years by allowing approved students to double-count three hours as undergraduate and graduate credit and by taking six graduate hours of coursework in the summer following the completion of the undergraduate program. Undergraduate students who have taken the GMAT and have been admitted to the graduate program may take up to nine hours of graduate courses in their senior year of undergraduate work. Students may take ACCT 5333 Advanced Financial Reporting and Analysis as an elective which also satisfies the requirement for the Master in Accountancy.

Prospective students interested in the Accelerated MACC track may apply for an Accelerated Graduate Business track as seniors in high school or as freshman at TU.  The requirements to be considered for admission to the accelerated MACC track are:

  • Minimum ACT score of 28
  • Top 10% of high school class OR have a 3.75 high school GPA

Formal application to the Graduate School is required when the student achieves junior standing upon TU credit hours.  Students in the accelerated MACC track must major in Accounting as undergraduates.

Students in the Accelerated MACC track will have GMAT requirement waived if he/she has maintained good standing in the Accelerated MACC track (maintained a 3.4 overall GPA with no single smeester with less than a 3.0 GPA).
