Biological Science Major Courses

Biological Science Core Courses (14 hours)

Biological Science Electives (41 hours)

including at least two courses each from Clusters A , B , and C  

Mathematical Sciences (7 hours)

Supplementary Area of Concentration (16 hours)

Chemistry (8 hours)

Foreign Language (14 hours)

Foreign language courses typically taken in a single language

Humanities, Social Sciences and English (24 hours)

Total: 124 hours

*Some students will complete a modified series of courses. See Special Requirements .

Block III: Scientific Investigation  BIOL courses do not count toward the major. BIOL 2151 , BIOL 2153 , BIOL 2171 , and BIOL 2173  do not count toward the major.

A student must complete the biology major with a grade point average of 2.2 or higher as well as an overall grade point average of 2.0 or higher in order to graduate.
