Tulsa Curriculum Requirements (47 hours)
Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Music Education curriculum are not required to have a minor. They must complete the requirements of the Tulsa curriculum as follows:
Core Requirements (22 hours)
Block I Aesthetic Inquiry and Creative Experience (6 hours)
Block II Historical and Social Interpretation (12 hours)
Block III Scientific Investigation (7 hours)
- Block III elective (3 hours)
- Block III elective with lab (4 hours)
Notes:
*Music education majors enroll in MUS 4363 Music in the Secondary Schools to fulfill their senior seminar requirement.
**B.M.E. students are required to take two semesters of a foreign language (one year).
Required Music Courses (58 hours)
Note:
*Instrumental music education majors must meet the piano and guitar proficiency requirement.
