The McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering offers a curriculum leading to the Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering (B.S.P.E.) degree. The B.S. degree program in petroleum engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.
The objective of the undergraduate program is to provide basic and applied knowledge in petroleum engineering, with equal emphasis on drilling and completion, production and reservoir areas using the fundamental building blocks of mathematical, physical and engineering sciences.
Program Educational Objectives:
- Our alumni become competent petroleum engineering professionals.
- Our alumni are able to analyze and design engineering systems, understand the associated uncertainties, and evaluate the economic, environmental, and social impacts.
- Our alumni are able to synthesize inputs from various sources, apply multidisciplinary fundamentals, and articulate technical concepts.
