LAW - 5973-BR Seminar: Indian Gaming Law(3 hours)
This course covers the relevant history of Indian Gaming leading to the enactment of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988 (IGRA), the requirements of that Act, and the effect of the division of gaming into different classes of gaming in Indian country. Topical coverage includes the division of gaming regulatory authority between the Indian Nations, the National Indian Gaming Commission, and the States, and IGRA requirements applicable to tribal gaming ordinances, gaming management contracts, tribal-state compacts, acquisition of Indian lands for gaming purposes, and other issues involved in Indian gaming.
