This is a term paper based course, with the final grade derived from an evaluation of performance on a written research project concerning international economic/trade law. Topics for relevant research projects are selected from a list of topics provided by the instructor prior to the beginning of the semester. Specific topics available for selection change from year to year, but always concern the most recent and controversial matters confronting the international community. Past topics have ranged from regulation of internet gambling and international economic law, to trade disputes concerning certain agricultural commodities, to import restrictions or levies imposed on international shipments of wind turbines and oil.
