LAW - 6000 Advanced Bar Skills(0 hours)
This course is designed to provide early exposure to the skills and substance needed for success on the MBE. This course will serve as a refresher to the most heavily tested topic within each subject, which will lay the foundation for strong multiple choice test taking later. This course will also create a bridge between the substantive knowledge learned in first and second year and the bar exam. This way, the skill building begins in law school and is then further developed after graduation. Skills covered will include: exploring the mechanics of questions, the most common factual and logical question constructs for the different areas tested on the bar exam, the common traps within those topics, and the most effective ways to narrow down answer choices. This course is not simply early bar prep but skill instruction for the exam. Students will be trained on how to analyze fact patterns. Students will also refine their multiple choice test taking skills for legal exams.
