ACCT 4861 - 6 Current Topics in Accounting
(1 - 6 hours)
A study of current issues in the accounting profession and specialized areas of accounting. Coverage will include new developments in accounting theory and practice and the pronouncements of various accounting bodies. Specifically, this course will focus on 3 emerging topics in accounting, namely predictive analytics for accountants, emerging technologies in audit, and data analytics and visualization in accounting.
