CHEM 1013 General Chemistry I

(3 hours)

First course in a two-semester sequence dealing with basic phenomena and principles of chemistry. Topics include study of the states of matter, basic reaction stoichiometry, atomic and molecular structure and the gas laws. Prerequisites: ALEKS University Math Placement score of 40 or MATH 1043 and concurrent enrollment in MATH 1143 or CHEM 1104 and MATH 1043 or CHEM 1104 and ALEKS score of 25.
