MSM 7103 Museum Informatics(3 hours)
Provides an overview of the world of museum informatics and related professional practice through readings, discussion, and experience. Includes investigations into social/technical interactions that occur between people, information and technology and what this means now and for the future. Students will explore information needs and information-seeking behavior of online visitors and learn about principles and issues surrounding the management and dissemination of collection information and media using art, archive and anthropology collections.
