MSM 5113 Archives in the 21st Century
(3 hours)
Explores theoretical and practical issues related to archival research, memory, access, and the politics of historical recovery. The course will provide students with an introduction to the knowledge and tools necessary for creating new access to archival materials held within the Helmerich Center for American Research at Gilcrease Museum. It will also consider the public role archives play in contributing to modern discussions on equity, representation, identity, and social justice.
