CHEM 1013 General Chemistry I (3 hours)
First course in a two-semester sequence dealing with basic phenomena and principles of chemistry. Topics include study of the states of matter, basic reaction stoichiometry, atomic and molecular structure and the gas laws. Prerequisites: Equivalent of two years high school algebra and one year plane geometry, or the University mathematics placement examination, MATH 1043 or CHEM 1104 . - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
