BIOL 4343 Advanced Molecular Biology

(3 hours)

Extends the basics of molecular biology from BIOL 1703 , including DNA structure, chromosome structure, regulation of transcription, and translation. Examines the Central Dogma of Biology (DNA to RNA to protein) using lecture, reading and interpretation of primary literature. Prerequisites: BIOL 1603 , BIOL 1611 , BIOL 1703 , BIOL 1711 , BIOL 2123 and BIOL 2121 .
