Addresses how criminal law and procedure affect criminal justice policy. Various topics are covered by examining relevant legal rules and historical, philosophical, economic and empirical perspectives. Through working with practitioners, advocates and policymakers, students will examine how rules survive contact with the real world and possibilities for changing rules to make criminal
justice systems fairer and more just.
