PE 3043 Drilling Engineering I

(3 hours)

Rotary drilling systems, drilling fluids, drilling fluids hydraulics, drill bit hydraulics, cuttings transport, solids control, well control mechanics, overview of well drilling planning for oil and gas wells as well as geothermal wells. Prerequisites: ES 3003 , ES 3023 and MATH 3073 .
