PE 2123 Fluid Properties

(3 hours)

Phase behavior and PVT properties of dry, wet and retrograde condensate natural gases, as well as volatile and black oils; physical and thermal property estimation using correlations; physical properties of CO_²; flash and differential vaporization; introduction to gas-liquid equilibria; properties of oilfield water; gas hydrates and their prevention. Prerequisites: PE 1001 , CHEM 1013 and MATH 2073 . Corequisites: PE 2113 and MATH 3073 .
