BIOL 4153 Animal Behavior

(3 hours)

Introduction to classical ethology and behavioral ecology. Topics include animal communication, foraging, sexual selection, mating systems, social organization, spacing patterns, learning, evolutionarily stable strategies, alternative mating tactics, and human sociobiology. Prerequisites: BIOL 1603 , BIOL 1611 , BIOL 1703 , BIOL 1711 , BIOL 2123 and BIOL 2121 .
