Introduction to the texts and practices found in literary studies and creative writing. Scholarly and creative assignments focus on close reading, formal analysis, historical contextualization, archival description and analysis, adaptation and transmediation, digital humanities, the sociology of reading, worldmaking, translation, political activism, and other related practices.
