Methods for designing, implementing and testing programs to solve problems in a secure manner, through security checks, defensive programming techniques, and adopting characteristics of secure programs that avoid introducing vulnerabilities. Software assurance and methods of secure system design. Introduction to network security and protocols. Network defense concepts and tooling. Students who complete CYB 2004 CYB 2013 and CIS 3043 /CYB 3043 may not receive credit for CVB 4104.
