(3 hours) Block Two
Looks at the social upheavals gripping American society through the 21th century, with a focus on progressive and radical social movements that challenged the governing consensus. Examines the rise of socialist and labor movements in the United States, civil rights, feminism, environmentalism and pacifist and anti-imperialist movements and their interconnectedness, ending with contemporary social movements.
