ART 3443 Digital Drawing and Illustration
(3 hours)
Techniques and visual vocabulary of contemporary illustration, focusing on today’s dominant image generating application, Adobe Photoshop. Lessons begin with generating basic shapes, textures, and lighting, and rendering objects, layering and creating montage effects. Images are used in combination with type design in real world illustration assignments and individual creative projects. Prerequisite: ART 1103 , THEA 1223 , or permission of instructor.
