ANTH 6233 Medical Anthropology

3 Hours

Studies the role of culture in illness and healing. Focuses in particular on the relationship between Western diagnostic and therapeutic systems with those of non-Western groups, and on the relationship between sociocultural factors and health. Prerequisites: ANTH 2033 and ANTH 2043 with grades of C or higher, or permission of instructor.
